Stacey Johnstone is a core member of Six Lips Theatre and Paper Planes and Daisy Chains. She is a physical performer, actor, choreographer, theatre maker and facilitator. She is an Associate of Whitestone Arts Research Centre and DUENDE. Stacey holds an MA in Ensemble Physical Theatre from Huddersfield University (2010). She also dreams of one day becoming a unicorn.
Her areas of special interest include: psychophysical actor training; site-specific physical theatre; improvisation; dance; collaborative creation of language with physicality. As well as dancing round her bedroom with a hairbrush. Stacey has worked with: Northern Big Board; Chol and Slung Low; Dirty Laundry; Freedom Studios, DUENDE, Whitestone Arts, Opera North.
Stacey has facilitated numerous performance workshops, assisted on the delivery of a take-over project with first year students at Huddersfield University with DUENDE and is the head of Performing Arts at East Riding College.
Stacey has been a part of the Paper Planes workshops from the start facilitating and dancing her way around. She looks forward to the start of term two and hopes for lots more dancing!
